Designer Eyewear & Eye Exams for Clemson — Worth the Drive to Pendleton
Clemson runs on a calendar that does not leave much room for errands. Between semester deadlines, lab hours, home game weekends and move in weeks, an eye exam is usually the appointment that keeps sliding. O'Boutique sits a few minutes down US 76 in Pendleton, which puts us closer to campus than most Clemson residents expect. Students come to us because we take walk in prescriptions and vision plans seriously; faculty and researchers come because screen focused and progressive lenses deserve more thought than a fifteen minute counter visit allows. Appointments are scheduled rather than queued, exams run about thirty minutes, and you leave with frames chosen the same day instead of booking a second trip during finals week.
Getting here from Clemson
From the Clemson campus or downtown, follow US 76 east toward Pendleton. You will pass the Clemson Research Park before the road opens up; we are on the left at 7511 US 76 in Pendleton Plaza, just before the Pendleton town square.
On football Saturdays, SC 93 to SC 187 avoids the US 76 stadium traffic entirely.

Why Clemson clients choose us
Saturday exams that fit a class schedule
Saturday eye exams run every Saturday from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM by appointment. For students who cannot miss a Tuesday lecture and for faculty who cannot leave a lab mid week, that single window solves the problem most campus schedules create.
Lenses made for screens, reading and long days
Graduate students, professors and researchers spend their days at a fixed screen distance and then need to see across a lecture hall. We fit progressive, high index and occupational screen lenses and walk through the tradeoffs honestly, including where the cheaper option is genuinely fine.
No dilation drops, so you can drive back to campus
Nidek Eidon retinal imaging means dilation is not needed in most cases. You can sit an afternoon class, teach a section or drive back to Clemson immediately after your exam without waiting out blurred vision in the parking lot.
Frames you will not see across the quad
Oliver Peoples, Persol, Alain Mikli, Starck, Ray-Ban, Costa and Kate Spade, bought in small numbers. An independent wall means your frames read as a choice rather than as whatever the campus optical shop had in stock that semester.

Questions from Clemson clients
How far is O’Boutique from Clemson University?
We are in Pendleton, a short drive east on US 76 from campus. Our only location is 7511 US 76 Suite 400 in Pendleton Plaza, and there is free parking at the door.
Do you see Clemson students?
Frequently. Students, graduate students, faculty and staff all come to us. Bring your vision insurance card and any current prescription or contact lens box with you.
Can I get an exam on a home game Saturday?
We are open every Saturday from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM, which is usually well before kickoff traffic builds. Booking ahead is wise on game weekends.
Do you fit contact lenses for students?
Yes. Contact lens fittings cover daily, monthly and specialty lenses, including options for astigmatism, and we teach insertion and removal if you are new to lenses.
Can I order a second pair of prescription sunglasses for the lake?
Yes, and many Clemson clients do. Prescription polarized sunglasses are a common second pair for time on Lake Hartwell and Lake Keowee.
